“We planned on having a big family, wanting four children. We both agreed on that from the beginning. But after our second baby was born very sick, we discovered that I have a rare blood disorder that would make having any more children very risky. It broke our hearts in half to make the decision to stop growing our family, having to stop at two. But we realized that we have two very now healthy little boys, and our family is complete. One positive aspect is that I can now order this special necklace, not worrying about the possibility that I might not be able to get an exact charm to match these two in a few years if we were to expand. Kind of a superficial reason to finally buy a mothers necklace, but I never wanted to get any mothers jewelry for the “fear” of not being able to match the jewelry when we eventually did expand our family to however big that might be.
